bowerbird is not just about clothes!  We also stock a wide range of cool art, collectables and curio’s from different eras.  We love all kinds of knickknacks and have a healthy appreciation for the quirky, the kitsch, the eye catching and the interesting. 

From fine vintage bone china, art deco furniture, vintage fabrics, and religious iconic art to more contemporary pieces that include sculptures and textile based art from brilliant local artists such as textile queens ‘Ella and Sophia’ (www.ellaandsophia.com) and Christina McLean of ‘Chowk’ (chowk@ozemail.com.au). 

bowerbird is also busy seeking out local talent.  We have a wonderful range of handmade masterpieces from a variety of designers and artists.  We stock a cute little range of beautiful hats and shoes by talented milliner/shoemaker Bischoff Designs (www.flickr.com, then go to bischoff designs, people).  We also have quirky hand-made earrings, bags, tee shirts, soft furnishing and toys.

At bowerbird we like to support local talent and encourage painters, sculptures and other gifted artists to come in and show us their work.  Our walls are dedicated to getting your work some exposure so come in and have a chat.
